Getting people to opt-in to your email list is just the beginning of the battle. Bigger obstacles lie ahead, and this includes creating an Internet marketing email compelling enough to convince your readers to perform the desired action.
Tips on Writing a Compelling Internet Marketing Email
Being permitted to contact your customers or prospects by email is a chance that you must not waste. If you don’t do it right the first time, there’s almost nothing you can do to stop people from unsubscribing from your list.
Send an email right away.
People who have consciously opted-in to your email list may end up forgetting what they’ve done if you take too long to exercise your right to contact them. If a person has subscribed your list today, make sure to send them an email no later than tomorrow.
Convince them it’s not SPAM with your subject line.
You’re only given one line to use for your email subject so don’t waste it! Go straight to the point by including the main topic of your email and the primary benefit they’ll get from reading it.
Keep things short.
Time is gold, and your readers would be initially reluctant to spend more than a minute or two reading your first email. By keeping things short and simple, you can be sure that they’ll be more inclined to read your mail from start to finish and take in everything you have to say.
Personalize your Internet marketing email.
Just because you’re using a template doesn’t mean you can’t customize your emails a bit. Address your email using the first name of your recipient as this will make them feel more special. Make sure to use your own name as well when closing your letter. If you’ve managed to acquire data regarding the customer, you could use it to give the letter a more personalized feel.
Every word used must help you attain your goal.
What did you intend to achieve with your Internet marketing email? Was it to convince readers to buy products and services from your company? Was it to get them to join your membership website? Keep your goal in mind and make sure that every word you use helps in convincing your reader to perform the desired action.
Use the appropriate format.
Generally speaking, an Internet marketing email will include an introductory paragraph, the main body of your email, and a closing paragraph. The introductory paragraph summarizes the essential facts of your email. The body provides the detail. The closing paragraph includes a strong invitation to perform the desired action. This outline may differ in some ways depending on the type of email you wish to send.
Make your Internet marketing email visually appealing.
Use appropriate line spacing and font styles for your email. Use graphics sparingly: although they can help in providing emphasis and description, they do take longer to upload and some of your readers might not be willing to wait too long for them. Lastly, remember to keep your paragraphs short: longer ones tend to dismay and discourage people from reading further.
Double-check for errors.
Do your best to get things perfect at the first try. Double-check for errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and format. Review the content and revise what you can. And lastly, make sure you’ve included your contact details or everything will be for naught!

Needless to say most of the people who try to start a business on the internet don’t have even the slightest notion of how to start a successful Internet Business. The Internet is booming with new (newbies) and the like entering the Internet daily by the thousands aiming to fullfill their desires and hopes of starting a thriving internet business and doing it quickly. Well first of all there are literally hundreds of thousands of people who have been on the internet for months even years and still haven’t gotten it right yet, and sadly some may never will.
Some of these people come to the internet with all of their energy, and with all of their dreams of making it big only to be broken and disillusioned (disappointed) deeply, almost to scorned, never to return and actually fulfill the’re dream and so they go on living the life that they, so terribly so, want to get out of but don’t. Let me just say, to those souls, that the internet is everything that you know that it can be period. IT TAKES KNOWLEDGE, WORK, AND PRESERVERANCE.
When most people start and enter the internet for the very first time 9 times out of 10 it was a
very compelling ad somewhere that brought them there. An ad that was so compelling that, right away, they were disillusioned but they just didn’t know it yet. It may not take experience to operate or learn to operate someones program or software, but it does take experience and some knowledge to know how to manipulate, understand people (why they buy, when do they buy, how to make them buy, etc), and work on the internet. It takes understanding markets (what it is, who would want it, how to sell it, etc). If you want to know how to start a successful internet business you must understand search engines (how to make them work in your favor in order to get the word out to a certain targeted group of people who are only interested in your product, a group willing and ready to purchase from you, etc), website construction (what content to put on the pages, where to put graphics, what type of graphics to use).
My Point? You cannot expect to build a successful internet business with no experience. The single most important piece of experience that you must have to be successful on the internet is product, and people experience. With just those 2 things you would never need anyones money making program to earn yourself millions on the internet. In order for you to learn how to start a successful internet business you need only a product (their a dime a dozen) and someone of whom you could sell the product to. You don’t need a website to earn millions on the internet. PRODUCTS and AUDIENCES.
Products can come in the form of Niches. Niches are a smaller sect of a much larger market which deals in particular items that, get this, comes with their own audiences who are already searching for this particular item. So whats the problem? You must separate the ones that want to browse from the ones that want to buy. Can you do this without training? Probably not. This is the reason most internet marketers fail and don’t make it on the internet. They are focused on the program that they bought and trying to learn it rather than to focus on what is really going to earn them the money.
Learn products and audiences and you will have absolute success, GUARANTEED!! So the bottom line is to learn how to start a successful internet business has nothing to do with your site, to the degree that you would focus all of your attention on it, but more so learning about the products and the people who buy the products (audiences).
Can you start an internet business today and be in profit today? Yes. It depends largely on your research on a Niche (product) as far as how popular it is or isn’t and the payout, as well as the group of people associated with buying it, whether or not there are enough of them to warrant building a campaign around it where you can make a decent profit from. The difference between finding a profitable niche and finding a non-profitable niche can be catastraphic, in both time invested as well as money.

While almost everyone who has a home business is aware of blogs and the advantage they give you on advertising, many are not aware of how much money you can make from a home business blog. Having a blog gives you the ability to create money through advertising and displaying your knowledge on your topic, but there are several other ways to make money off of it.
The first way you can make money from a home business blog is through affiliate programs. All you have to do is simply place a products name somewhere in a blog post and hyperlink it to direct readers to the product. Every time someone clicks on the link and purchases a product, you have made money off of your blog as simple as that.
You have to be aware that you’re not going to make a sell from everyone that reads your blog posts, or even half for that matter. However, by placing at least one hyperlink in every blog post you make, you are sure to increase your income a great deal.
If you can sell other people’s products on your home business blog, obviously you can sell your own products. Having a blog is a great way to advertise your own products and sell the benefits and features of your products to readers. The more blog posts you have the better. Therefore, this gives you the ability to take an entire blog post and dedicate it to one specific product.
While having a business blog is great to promote products of your own and others, it’s also a great place to sell your website itself. Your website should follow one theme, as should your blog. All of your posts should incorporate the theme in some way and discuss what’s going on in the world of your theme, what’s going on with your website, and always include reader benefits to get them to come to your website. There is nothing wrong with dropping your website home page link in a post from time to time.
As mentioned above, advertising is the main reason people use their home business blog. Advertising products, other people’s products and what is to come in the future. However, selling advertising space on your blog is a great way to make additional income. If your website isn’t big enough to place others’ ads on it, Google AdSense and BlogAds give you the ability to make money off of clicks. The more people that click on their ads, the more money you make.
No matter how you make money from your home business blog, it is vital that you are consistent. By consistently adding fresh and enticing content and posting at least once every day, you will keep readers coming back for more. Not only that, but you will eventually find your business blog atop the largest search engines on the internet.

I am always amazed at how many Internet businesses people are involved in yet they are really never making any money in any of them. I do not know whether this is comical or sad! As you review Internet business ideas it really only takes one good one to launch a successful Internet marketing career.
Here are three possibilities for you.
1. Join the ClickBank affiliate program and sell digital information products online. I love this affiliate program because of how easy it is to get started with.
It doesn’t cost anything to join and you immediately have access to thousands of products to sell people in numerous categories. Digital information is excellent because it provides instant access to your customers.
Information products are good to sell because people are always researching the Internet for information. Plus there is not a lot of ongoing costs associated with the product therefore you can earn high commissions selling these types of products. We are talking about commission rates as high as 75% of the purchase price.
2. The economy is driving more people onto the Internet and forcing them to start Internet businesses of their own. This is opening up an unbelievable amount of opportunities for people to create an Internet business of their own providing a service.
Website design or blog building is very big right now as people do not know how to set these up themselves. Becoming a content writer and a blog writer is another excellent way to get paid providing a service that has a never ending supply of potential customers.
3. Start your own blog and monetize it with affiliate products. As you develop traffic to your blog you can sell advertising on it.
This is a great Internet business idea because as newspapers fail, and other print, television, and radio advertising prices increase more businesses are looking online as a way to promote themselves.
A high traffic blog can earn you a six-figure income writing about something you enjoy. This might be the best Internet business idea for a long term profit oriented a way to make money.
Let me just reiterate that when it comes to Internet business ideas it only takes one good one to make you rich. However the hard part is doing the work on a daily basis to turn your idea into a profitable Internet business. This is where most people fail and hopefully where you will succeed.

Why Many People Fail to Make Money from Internet Marketing

Internet is a huge market. If you search the internet, there are literally myriad programs with multitudes of software being chunked out frequently, each trying to convince you of its superiority over the others. This is where the internet neophytes, the newbies, get confused and usually become overwhelmed.
If you are a newbie and feels confused and even overwhelmed, don’t be disheartened. Do not give up like so many do. Statistics have shown that 95 percent of people, who hear of the big internet market with its numerous opportunities of financial gains and attempt to do business through it, actually get frustrated and give up. Such people are the ones that generally conclude that all forms of internet business are nothing but gimmicks and scams. But that is not true. You can make a decent living from internet marketing as being attested to by so many people in our program. You don’t need to belong to the 95 percent failure class.
But why this high casualty rate? Why so much failure?
A number of reasons explain this:
1). Lack of knowledge of internet marketing.
Many people think that to make money online, they will just set up a website, host it on an engine, submit it to search engines, then sit down and fold their hands waiting for the dollars to start pouring in.
2). Not updating your knowledge
Some people don’t take advantage of the newer internet marketing techniques. For instance, some don’t have knowledge of automation. They are still struggling with the manual system to build their subscribers’ list. How can they catch up with some other person who uses auto-submission to reach a wider subscription coverage?
3). Non-specialisation
There are various aspects of internet marketing. An internet marketer who tries to do all things at the same time cannot expect to maximize the systems. Lack of specialization results in loss of focus. Focusing in one or two aspects of marketing per time and as much as possible to know all you can in that area increase sales dramatically.
4). Lack of Perseverance
You might have heard of this internet marketing aphorism: “money is in the list.” List here refers to the number of subscribers you have whom you can easily contact for business. They are your online customers. The more the number, the higher the probability of increased sales.
But to build a list takes time and patience. When an online marketer hastily folds up, terminating his trading, he has put a hot knife across his growing list. His subscribers will lose faith in him. To build your list requires patience. Patience and perseverance are the traits of any successful online marketer.
To have patience, you must have faith in your system and in your ability. Faith is what keeps driving you onwards and forwards even when there seems to be no apparent result. All great business achievers are known to have passed through a phase in life where they keep working and praising forwards despite no physical evidence to do so. They have strong faith in themselves and their work, hence, they are patient. Faith fuels your patience. Indeed, F-A-I-T-H and P-A-T-I-E-N-C-E, you need them if you must conquer.
5). Not Networking
Internet is a network connectivity of people and events. This is especially true with online marketing. Load of information is churned out regularly. New software that keeps refining and improving online business is being invented continuously. For instance, use of banners and posters were the norms in internet marketing in the 1990’s. Today they have been overtaking by more efficient systems. If you are still depending on them for great sales, you are of the old school.
One way you can keep abreast of the latest in online marketing is by being in constant contact with your colleagues in the online business. Lack of Networking is one of the main causes of 95 percent failure among internet marketers. You cannot just set up a website, do your own things, not minding what goes around you and expect sales to keep pouring in. No, it doesn’t work that way. A doctor who enters private practice and has not been updating his knowledge soon discovers he is outdated and his practice will diminish with time.
6). Not having your own website
One danger in affiliate marketing is the notion that you don’t need your own website. Some affiliates claim that as long as you have access to the products of the parent company that you have affiliated to, you really don’t need your own website.
Really, you can make sales with your affiliate link without a personal website. But the truth is you’ll be grossly limited. For instance, you cannot take advantage of what I refer to as Integrated Affiliate Marketing, which is the linking of products of different affiliate companies and marketing them as one entity. Integrated Affiliate Marketing is made possible only by having your own website. In your website you can integrate two or more products of different companies and market them at the same time. This ensures multiple streams of income. It is what all successful internet affiliate marketers do. Indeed, one great disserve you’ll mete out on yourself is not having your own website!
